Eating local (week one)

Spring is here. Ben, Ashley and I picked up our first CSA share: spinach, lettuce mix, and garlic chives. I was so excited I took Restaurant Widow's advice and proceeded to the north market farmer's market and bought asparagus and sun dried tomatoes from Toad Hill Organics.

The spinach and lettuce was so tasty I didn't even dress it. I blended the sun dried tomatoes, garlic chives, and a little Parmesan into some hummus.

And, I stir fried up the asparagus (mad sweet and tender) with some canned gluten, lee kum kee black pepper brown sauce, and five spice powder (all available at Crestview market on high in clintonville).
