Pears with Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Sauce

We're way overdo for a recipe, so here's a yummy dessert for the oven or microwave.

2 medium pears
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter, melted
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
dash of brandy or liqueur (optional)
2 whole cloves (optional)
¼ cup vanilla yogurt

Core pears from below, after slicing ¼ inch or so off bottom to level. Peel pears leaving half an inch on top and bottom. Leave stems on pears. Combine brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, cloves, and brandy. Stand pears in oven or microwave safe dish. Pour brown sugar mixture over pears. Microwave for 10-12 minutes or bake for half hour to forty minutes at 350 degrees or under fork tender. If baking, baste pears with brown sugar mixture. You might want to cover pears with foil after a bit to keep them moist. Spoon yogurt over pears to serve. Garnish with mint leaves.

Options, replace yogurt with vanilla ice cream.
