Being friends with Jason offers a multitude of benefits. And many of them are edible! Here's his take on summer snacks before a movie. All ingredients are local.
I thought I'd wait to let Jason annotate...but here goes.
Squash blossoms stuffed with goat cheese and covered in panko.
Edible flowers--Jason will have to tell us what kind. They were delicious and the petals tasted totally different from the stems, which reminded me of radish.
There's a bit of squash blossom bloom on the tomatoes, which also boasted parmesan (I believe).
Thanks Abby! I don't know what kind of edible flowers they were, but they were delicious. Making the squash blossoms is easy. Fill with goat cheese and then close the blossom. Dip in egg wash and the roll in panko (seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder). Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.
Great appealing palate and well presented. I like the color scheme but just a suggestion, if you would put some eatables instead of those flowers it would be better.
