The Mere Thought of this Disturbs even Me...

From Gizmodo:
This is a cheeseburger. In a can. It's a cheeseburger in a can. I honestly can't figure out how I feel about this: is it the greatest achievement of mankind thus far, or is it an abomination of foodstuffs that deserves to be hucked back into the gaping maw of whatever food processing plant it was spewed from? I just don't know what to think anymore. Would you eat a cheeseburger in a can? Keep in mind that it'll look nowhere near as delicious as the example above when you pull it out of the can.

And the product page (it's German!).

tangerine sorbet

this sorbet is surprisingly distinctive, both in color and flavor. at first its taste is fresh and tangy, just like a tangerine, and then the second flavor is sweet in a warm way, kind of a roasted or earthy sweetness. i have to think of a better description. it's definitely just the right amount of sweetness to balance the tang. i used this recipe with a few variations. i halved all measurements. i ended up juicing five tangerines to yield 1 1/2 cups juice and i also juiced one blood orange, which boosted the color nicely. blood oranges are so gorgeous. i would have garnished the finished sorbet with the candied zest but i ate it last night after the syrup cooled. i put the juice + syrup in the refrigerator overnight to cool and made the sorbet first thing this morning, which is a great way to start the week.

Xmas Eating

As usual, there was much eating in the land of Dingo-Early this holiday season. (And there should be more with J visiting.)

We made cookies...We did the Polish thing...I made my brioche (although, Santa looks like he's been pumping HGH into his mustache.)And here's to more good eats in 2008!

(I know that there were problems with the pictures. I just hope that I didn't forget to include any.)
